Cancellation Policy

For Rental Orders

Please be cautious when making a rental purchase on Borrowed From; we do not offer refunds to your original payment method on any rental orders. If you have made a mistake or changed your mind on an order, we will offer you a store credit equal to the value of your rental, which can be used on an alternate item. If you chose to no longer rent an item(s) you can cancel your booking up to 3 calendar days of the Rental Start Date. You will receive a full credit in the form of store credit - this will be a code which can be redeemed at checkout on any rental. This code will be valid for 12 months. Borrowed From reserves the right to charge you with a late Cancellation Change of £15 if cancelled after the 3 calendar days period before your rental start date.

If you would like to switch your item to another available item Borrowed From will organise the added remaining balance to be emailed to you in the form of an online payment page, if the new rental order cost is lower than the original order a store credit code will be sent to you via email.

If Borrowed From believes that you rented a product or products with the intention of theft or to cause any other damage, we reserve the right to cancel the rental contract without notice and to charge you with a sum that we deem to be appropriate equal to that of the Replacement Value.

For Purchased Orders (e.g. pre-loved items)

We do not offer returns on the sale of pre-loved items. However our cancellation window is 60 minutes after the purchase time. Please email hello@borrowedfrom.co.uk for help.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit code will be sent to you by email.


Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again, then contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale Items

Only regularly priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We can offer you an exchange on a rental item if returned within 24 hours and is unworn. You can switch your item for a different item at our showroom only.

If you purchased shipping at checkout, a pre-paid return label will be included in your order. Please attach the label and drop it off at your local branch or dropbox.

If an item is lost in the post due to insecure packaging you will be liable to pay the replacement value. If you of not have a box or bag please contact us and we will refund you the cost of the shipping material.

If you select pick-up from our showroom you can drop it back off for free or you can post it back. You will be responsible for paying for your own return shipping costs. Please send the parcel tracking number to: hello@borrowedfrom.co.uk this needs to be posted by the last day of your rental period otherwise Borrowed From has the right to charge you a late fee. Pre-paid shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
